Pumpkinland & Boo Bash

Saturday, October 17th, we were supposed to meet one of our playgroups at Pumpkinland at Thies Farm. We didn't see anyone from that playgroup, but did meet up with Bene and Logan from our other playgroup. It was a great day to be at the pumpkin patch.

After Pumpkinland, we ate lunch, then went to the Boo Bash at Zion Lutheran Church. This was our first activity with this playgroup / mom board. We met a lot of nice people and had a great time. Kaitlynn put on her Happy Feet costume for a few minutes and then decided she didn't want to wear it. So she just wore her Halloween shirt that said "Daddy's under my spell" and a witch's hat. Then had her face painted like a princess. When Kaitlynn won Most Original Halloween Costume, they said because every little girl has their daddy under their spell. There was a professional photographer that took pictures of the kids in the graveyard outside the church and of the rest of the festivities.

That evening, we went to my cousin Jamie and her boyfriend Matt's housewarming party. They have a nice ranch-style house. It was great seeing them and their little boy, who's not so little anymore!

We ended the evening at my sister's house. Let's just say the night ended with me, who is deathly afraid of snakes, holding my niece's snake around my neck.

BTW, these are not the greatest pictures of me. My makeup was basically worn off from crying a few hours before.

  2. It sounds like a great Halloween minus the crying and pretending I never saw that snake!
