Fun with Daddy

Saturday, Dave and Kaitlynn went to Castlewood Park to walk some of the trails since I wasn't feeling good. They went to the store to purchase some fruit and then to the playland at McDonald's. After they got home, they played outside for a bit. The 2 neighbor girls behind us invited Kaitlynn over to play in their yard. They really like Kaitlynn a lot and Kaitlynn really likes them a lot, too. She wasn't too happy when daddy told her it was time to come home. I am so glad she has friends to play with in the neighborhood.

Another weekend that gets wasted away because I am not feeling well. It sucks!

Jimmy's Visitation and Funeral

Tuesday evening Dave, Kaitlynn and I attended Jimmy's visitation. His funeral was on Wednesday morning. We didn't take Kaitlynn to the funeral. It was a beautiful service at the funeral home. His nieces spoke, the neighbor sang, and it was very heartfelt. We attended the grave site service, where it was concluded by a Native American chant. Then went to Jimmy's mom's home for lunch. It was great being with everyone who loved Jimmy to remember him and grieve him.

A meeting was held quite far from Earth!
It's time again for another birth.
Said the Angels to the LORD above,
This Special Child will need much love.

His progress may be very slow,
Accomplishments he may not show.
And he'll require extra care
From the folks he meets down there.

He may not run or laugh or play,
His thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways he won't adapt,
And he'll be known as handicapped.

So let's be careful where he's sent,
We want his life to be content.
Please LORD, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.

They will not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play,
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.

And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for their gift from Heaven.
Their precious charge, so meek and mild,

McDonald's Treat

Tuesday Dave and I took Kaitlynn to McDonald's as a special treat after attending a visitation.
She had so much fun climbing in the tunnels.

Even daddy climbed around with her (after the other kids left)
Having fun sliding
When daddy was finished playing, it was mommy's turn. Thankfully we didn't get any pictures of that!

Princess Car

Monday I watched Whitney. Kaitlynn was so excited because she had been asking about her a lot lately. After Whitney went home, Kaitlynn and I went to MawMaw's and then to the Mall.
MawMaw rented this Princess car / cart for Kaitlynn to ride in. She was in heaven after MawMaw bought her some cookies in a little Tinker Bell bucket. Look at the smile on her face!
