Your Invited to Elephant Brunch

Ringling Bros.® Invites St. Louis Residents to Elephant Brunch
Learn about Asian Elephants at free Oct. 15 event
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® invites St. Louis residents to join them at the Scottrade Center at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 15th to watch the circus’ largest stars – the majestic Asian elephants - snack on fruits and vegetables and to learn more about the elephants and Ringling Bros. conservation efforts to protect this endangered species.

The event will take place at the West Garage Plaza adjacent to the parking garage at Scottrade Center at 1401 Clark Street.

While the Asian elephant stars are treated to a healthy, nutritious meal of apples, bananas, watermelons and other produce, Children of All Ages will learn about these magnificent animals, their care, and the efforts Ringling Bros. has taken to preserve the species. Members of the famed Ringling Bros. Clown Alley will also be on hand to add to the fun!

The Asian elephant is the second largest land mammal in the world and one of the most intelligent animals on earth. Unfortunately, with less than 35,000 Asian elephants left on the planet, it is also one of the world’s most endangered species. Ringling Bros. is a world leader in the care and conservation of the endangered Asian elephant. The commitment Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has for this magnificent animal is demonstrated by the creation in 1995 – and the continued operation – of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation® in Florida, which is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the reproduction, research and retirement of Asian elephants. Since opening, 23 Asian elephants have been born at the Center. For more information, log on to Elephant Center.
