Balloon Race

Wednesday the 15th, I was able to get the viruses (multiple threats) off the computer with our anti-virus protection finally. We still weren't able to connect to the internet though.

Saturday the 18th, I called our internet provider and they were able to walk me through getting connected back to the internet. Yeah!!!

In the morning and afternoon, it was kind of hard for me to talk. I had some sinus / allergy stuff going on and was losing my voice. I'm sure Kaitlynn loved it though because I could hardly talk to her to correct her / discipline her.

Dave and I were supposed to go to a wedding. It was a really tough decision, but we decided not to go because of my allergies /sinus issues and because of a situation that happened with the bride's father that was very disrespectful.

We ended up going to the Balloon Race. We hoped we would find Kaitlynn's lost shoe, but they didn't have a lost and found. We ended up meeting Cynthia, Mike, Annabelle and Alayna there. We walked around for a bit, ate lunch and watched the race.

Balloon Glow

Friday, September 17th, I babysat Max. Later that evening, we were going to go to the MLM playdate at the Millstadt Eckert's but instead decided to go to the Balloon Glow. We were Balloon Glow virgins and decided it was time to take the next step. We met Cynthia, Annabelle and Alayna there. We got there early and got a great parking spot. Traffic wasn't bad either (we avoided the Hampton area). We brought the wagons for the girls and our stuff. Kaitlynn and Annabelle had fun in the bounce houses. They played a game and then we found a spot to have a picnic dinner.

Kaitlynn and Annabelle after we first arrived.

Kaitlynn said the Beemster was her favorite balloon.
We had so much fun! Although somehow, Kaitlynn walked out of one of her blue mary jane shoes and didn't tell us until we got back to our picnic spot. It was a lost cause trying to look for it. The Balloon Glow ended with a fireworks display.

We decided to go to Ted Drewes. Kaitlynn fell asleep in the car before we got there, so she didn't get to enjoy any frozen custard. It was yummy!

Disney On Ice: Princess Classics

Thursday the 16th, Kaitlynn, MawMaw and I went to Disney On Ice: Princess Classics at the Chaifetz Arena. Feld treated us to a Meet and Greet Preshow along with dinner. They also provided tickets for us to see the show. At the Meet and Greet, Kaitlynn got to meet and have her picture taken with Cinderella. She was super excited about that, especially since she was wearing her Cinderella costume! She also received a goody bag before heading to the show.

Kaitlynn really cracked me up - she kept calling the princes the princess' daddies! I love her innocent mind! I guess it makes sense though. A little girls first prince should be their daddies.

During the Beauty and the Beast scene, Kaitlynn was sitting in the row in front of us and she got startled when the Beast came out. She almost jumped over the seat and hurt herself. She started crying and yelling "I hurt my vagina!"

At this event, I met and talked with some really nice people. I'm looking forward to staying in contact with them via their blogs and seeing them at future Feld events / shows.

Kaitlynn fell asleep in her Cinderella dress. She refused to take it off.

5th Week in Preschool

Wednesday, September 15th, Kaitlynn and I were watching one of her morning shows and they were talking about what they were going to be when they grew up. I asked Kaitlynn what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said "a pillow so I can sleep!" I was surprised by her response. I thought she would say a vet and a baby doctor. I didn't know that being a pillow was an option! Maybe that's what I want to be, too!

I babysat Max. We thought about going to the library for story time, but changed our minds. Instead, we just hung out at the house until it was time for Kaitlynn to get ready for preschool. Kaitlynn did some artwork and then we played doctor with her vet kit and she told me that I'm going to be an amazing doctor! Isn't she sweet? Full of compliments! She dressed for school and we packed her snack, which she chooses each day, (goldfish, apple and raisins) in her lunch box.

I picked Kaitlynn up from preschool and her daily schedule said they read "Mouse Paint", mixed paint colors at the easel, painted with marbles and "Mouse Paint" colors - red, yellow and blue, went outside and played on the playground and played "Step on the spot".

We went to Circle K to get our special drinks. I dropped my debit card in the parking lot and this man found it and turned it in. Thank God for honest people!

Kaitlynn and I went to MawMaw's. We ran some errands and went to dinner.

Thursday, after Kaitlynn and I woke up, she told me that she loved me and was not going to call the police on me to come get me! Nice to know!!! I attended a Women's Bible Study at my church. I will post more about that on my other blog. As soon as I got home, Kaitlynn got dressed for preschool and we packed her snack (goldfish, apple and raisins). We picked up MawMaw and then Kaitlynn went to school.

MawMaw and I had lunch at Jimmy John's and ran some errands before picking Kaitlynn up from school. Her daily schedule said they reread "Mouse Paint", played "Mouse Paint" (a new board game), drew pictures in their sketchbooks, went outside to play on the playground and did "Jump Up, Turn Around."
