Christmas Eve

Friday, December 24th, I was 8 weeks pregnant. According to the BabyCenter weekly update: "Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his/her eyelids practically cover the eyes, breathing tubes extend from his/her throat to the branches of his/her developing lungs, and his/her "tail" is just about gone. In his/her brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. The external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it."

I woke up not feeling well. I had a pain in the lower right side of my back and knee. Kaitlynn had one of my chocolate chip with walnut cookies that morning. Soon after, she vomited and said my cookie made her sick! What a great feeling! Everyone else loved my cookies!

We went to MawMaw's then to Great Grandma's. As soon as we got to Great Grandma's, my uncle and aunt were dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus and Kaitlynn got freaked out. None of us were expecting to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. I picked her up, which I was not supposed to do per my restrictions from my appointment on the 15th, and I immediately felt abdominal pain on my lower right side. I knew I wasn't supposed to pick her up, but she was scared. What was I supposed to do? Well, in hindsight, I guess I could've squatted down and hugged her. Dave was not too happy with me for doing that.
The news of me being pregnant sure traveled fast. Everyone had already heard the news and were congratulating us.
The pain kept getting worse as the afternoon and evening went on. When we got back to MawMaw's I had to use a heating pad. We ate dinner and Kaitlynn exchanged gifts with Brandon and Uncle Jeff.

Brandon / Aunt Neese gave Kaitlynn a necklace. She said the necklace has magic powers. It's funny that she is into "magic" now. She has an imagination! Uncle Jeff gave Kaitlynn a Fur Real black and white kitty. MawMaw gave Kaitlynn one of her gifts, too (the Rescue Pets Train and Play Puppy).

I had to wrap a few more of Kaitlynn's gifts that evening. They were gifts I had bought and left at MawMaw's.
